MSC Crociere Cruise Line

Mediterranean Shipping Cruises have a distinguished reputation for providing passengers with a luxurious cruising experience on board some of the most modern ocean liners that any cruise company has to offer. The newest addition to the MSC Crociere fleet is the Splendida, which was named in Barcelona harbour on 12th July 2009. The Italian superstar actress, Sophia Loren, to the backing vocal of the Spanish tenor, Jose Carreras, carried out the naming ceremony. As befits such celebrities, the MSC Splendida boasts the MSC Yacht Club, an exclusive area that contains 99 luxury suites, all with 24-hour butler service, Skydome restaurant and the Top Sail Lounge. These facilities are obviously targeted at the most discerning guests, despite the fact that the rest of the cruise ship just oozes luxury.

Across the MSC fleet, all the ships have a distinctive design and size that is overwhelming. The MSC Fantasia is a regular visitor to Barcelona harbour when its size completely dwarfs the other cruise ships moored alongside. It is a marvel of modern shipbuilding and is currently one of the biggest ships offering cruises in European waters.

As can be expected with an Italian owned cruise line, attention to ensuring a fine dining experience is not overlooked. The menus use only the finest ingredients available, prepared carefully by some of the best chefs working on the high seas. MSC also believe that to appreciate a country, you have to taste it and meals reflect the country being visited by the ship. Considering that MSC provide cruise holidays to every corner of the globe, the chefs really do need to be the best.

Learn How to Book a Carnival Cruise

Going on a Carnival cruise is really an amazing experience. There’s round-the-clock entertainment and plenty of excellent food. Carnival also has special activities for kids called “Camp Carnival.” If you are planning to go on a cruise, here’s how to book a Carnival cruise.

First, you must decide the destinations and the dates you wish to take the cruise. Carnival’s website presents the range of places that they travel to.

Next, call Carnival at 1 (888) CARNIVAL – if you’ve already been on a Carnival cruise, you already have a designated agent and their extension number. If it’s your first time, then request an agent to assist you with booking your cruise.

Next, acquire your booking as well as the confirmation number that Carnival will send to you via email. Keep the number handy. Return to the Carnival Cruise website, and then register as a guest. You’ll be able to see your itinerary and finish your Fun Pass, which are the details you would basically give them at check-in. Don’t forget to bring your passport, flight information, and booking number to fill out your Fun Pass.

Next is booking your shore tours online. All the ports that you visit have a button on the site called ‘Shore Tours.’ Click it and all the tours will open as well as their corresponding costs. Book your tours early.

Next, fill in the details on your tickets when they arrive through email. Then, go to the port. Finally, register at the counter by filling out a customs paper, which is based upon the place you’re going to. Carnival will give you a Sail and Sign card and advice you on how to get to the ship.

See, it is easy! Have a safe and fun Carnival cruise.

Cruise and stay holidays are becoming very popular

For many people, having their first big holiday a long way away from home can be a very big deal. Therefore, it is important that the company they decide to take a cruise with takes care of them in every way imaginable.  Some research is necessary to ensure that the company offers exactly what the customer desires.

Many people prefer cruise and stay holidays that allow the traveller the chance to stay (often in an embarkation port city) for a few days before joining the ship. The flights and onshore accommodation are all arranged as part of the cruise deal.  That is the only difference from a normal cruise deal.  As with the majority of cruise holidays, passengers will still visit more than one destination, with the complete on board services to ensure they have a good time and feel safe and secure.

On these holidays, being on the ship is as much a part of the experience as setting foot on shore in some of the world’s most exotic locations. The more popular cruise and stay holidays tend to focus on the Caribbean, Egypt and Bermuda and a whole host of operators are currently competing for the customer’s cash.

These cruise and stay breaks are designed to make first time travellers feel completely relaxed. Cruises such as these go the extra mile to make sure that the whole experience is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, with the added advantage of exploring onshore before embarkation.

Caribbean cruises – A luxurious holiday for all

The Caribbean has often been described as one of the most beautiful and desirable places to visit in the entire world. As life is throwing so many problems at us at the moment there has never been a more fitting time to take a Caribbean cruise and discover what it offers for you.

Caribbean cruises can vary greatly according to the kind of destination you prefer. The most popular appear to be cruises that involve short, onshore visits to such well known Caribbean islands as Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Antigua.

The company that is perhaps best known as offering first class cruise holidays to the area is Royal Caribbean International. The company was founded in 1968, so they have learned a thing or two about Caribbean cruises since then. There are a variety of different class options available to customers and as the company carries thousands of holidaymakers each year, you can be sure that they will take care of you.

The advantage of a Caribbean cruise is that it allows you to experience all of the Caribbean. You may otherwise be restricted and not be able to visit more than one country in the small amount of time that you have available for you holiday, which is one of the reasons that cruise holidays are so appealing.

Of course there are many other operators that offer excellent Caribbean cruise packages and each one will offer slightly different itineraries and perhaps be targeted at specific groups of people. Taking a cruise is a unique experience and while many will want to head for the most popular destinations, others may prefer to make for some of the quieter and less touristy islands.

How to look for Cruise Deals

If you are looking for a value for money break this summer then a cruise holiday could be the way to go. Cruise holidays are very big business and there are a number of companies that are offering an excellent range of cruise deals.

Each company has something slightly different to offer, but the competition means that there is still space for good honest business in these harsh economic times. Thomson Cruise, Royal Caribbean and Independence, along with many others, currently have hundreds of good value cruise deals, with prices ranging from just under £100 to well over £1,000.

The destinations are not bad either, with something to interest everyone. If you fancy staying a little closer to home, you could travel in style to see some remote and beautiful part of Ireland or you could go half way around the world and explore the wonders that the South Pacific Islands have to offer.

Whatever your choice, you are guaranteed excellent value for money. When competition is so fierce, it is only natural for each of these companies to provide the best possible service for their customers. It is all about generating customer loyalty and repeat business, so they will be doing their utmost to persuade you to come back and take another one of their cruise deals.

Budget, duration, operator and ship preferences can all be catered for in what is quickly becoming one of the most desirable ways to spend your hard earned cash.

Pick a Port, Any Port!

Royal Caribbean Cruises are highly desirable these days, perhaps even more so than they used to be. If you think about it, cruises are quite economical, whether you are travelling solo, with a group, colleagues or family. All inclusive packages let you know ahead of time what your expenses will be (more or less) and take the worry out of unexpected travel faux pas like lost hotel reservations or the break down of your hired car. I think the thing that I like best about cruises is that you get to see many different places and only have to unpack once.

Royal Caribbean refers to itself as “The Nation of Why Not?” The motto makes sense. So many people work day in and day out to take care of responsibilities but rarely take time out for themselves. The thing is that the trips aren’t all that expensive and offer much more than traditional holiday packages. There’s always something to do and something to see.

Royal Caribbean’s website has a photo gallery of many of its passengers. The great thing about the photos is that they are real people who are truly enjoying themselves.

In total, Royal Caribbean visits 251 ports with their fleet of ships. If a ship has “of the Seas” in its name, most likely it’s one of theirs. You can have your choice of any of those ports from Canada to Mexico, South America to Australia. As far as the excursions go, they offer everything from ice skating to rock wall climbing.

Upcoming Cunard Voyages

It’s about that time of year when people really begin to plan and go on their summer holidays. What better time to take a cruise? And frankly, if you’re going to take a cruise, you should go luxury all the way, right?

If you like to plan ahead, you should know that Cunard has just posted its upcoming voyages for 2010-2011. Cunard is the operating company of such famous luxury liners as the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth. Just the names alone suggest pampering to the highest degree!

The Queen Elizabeth is the newest member of the Cunard line, making it the premier company with three Queens in its fleet. To accompany the inauguration of the newest Queen, Cunard has launched several new programmes for Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, including new routes to and from Europe, the Americas and other transatlantic cruises.

In 2010, Queen Mary 2 will make 21 transatlantic crossings during the season. Ports will include Southampton, New York, Cherbourg and Hamburg. For those who have never been on a lengthy cruise, you might be surprised at how much there is to do on board. First, you can eat to your heart’s content 24 hours a day, take side excursions into various ports to sample local culture, enjoy dancing in the Queen’s room, peruse and of the library’s 8,000 books, or (and I’ve saved the best for last) spend time inside the world’s only floating planetarium. Prices start at just under USD$1,300 for 6 days, an absolute steal!

Experiencing Ocean Village Cruises

Ocean Village is a cruise company that offers cruises “for people who don’t do cruises”. Traditional cruises may seem overly planned, rigid or formal – something that just does not fit every personality. Ocean Village is much more about the free form, relaxing, do whatever you want whenever you want style.

The big thing this summer seems to be the Mediterranean Cruises. The 7 night cruises can be had for around £1,000 with airfare; under £800.00 without. Those that book online – UK only – receive a 5% discount.

There is a comprehensive list of the things that are and are not included in the trips. All of the standard things are covered such as food, room, onboard activities (acrobatics, tribute bands, stand-up comedians, quizzes, etc.). An unusual one is that the tax and transfer fees are also included in the price. The things that aren’t included are to be expected, including visa fees, transportation to and from the airport/home, trips to the spa, drinks, dinner in the premier restaurant, and medical coverage.

While all of this sounds great, there is nothing to compare to the last minute deals. One shows a cruise on the Med for a family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) for £545pp. A 7 night trip coming up in October – aptly named Tapas and Togas – goes for £635. The original full was £1,416. Over the course of the trip, passengers can visit six different destinations.

If all of that didn’t tempt you, check out the video cams and virtual tours. Pack your bags first!

Searching for cruise deals online

No matter what the travel companies would have you believe, not every trip is sold out. In fact, if you are flexible in your plans, you may get away with the steal of a lifetime, simply because the company wants to reach full capacity.

There are many web sites that offer cruise deals, whether they are offering deep discounts, incentive programmes, or a last minute deal. There are ads for trips up to 80% off the regular price. Each company will dictate which exclusions apply, if any.

You may search cruise deals by company, like Cunard or Royal Caribbean, or go to a site that offers deals from multiple companies, such as cruisedeals.com.

Cruise Deals seems to offer a highly competitive selection of trips, particularly those listed on the “90 Day Ticker”. These are trips that are available on a short turn around. Some of the prices are brilliant, such as a 7 night cruise for less than $250! There are shorter cruises that are even cheaper! According to the website, going on one of these trips is actually cheaper than staying home.

Along with offering huge discounts, some cruise lines offer discounts for military and other government service. These discounts may or may not be compounded with the special offer.

There are quite a few ports to choose from if you’ll be embarking in the UK. Some of the ports include Dover, Harwich, Dublin, Tower Bridge, and Newcastle.

Be sure to check out the details. On the site you can find a list of the ports of call, onboard activities, offshore excursions, food choices, entertainment, and applicable dress codes (if any).

Cayman Islands – a taste of paradise!

Coral reefs, crystal-clear waters, and soft, sandy beaches are just part of what makes the Cayman Islands a natural Caribbean destination for many tourists, either as a distinct travel location or a dot on the map as they make their way around the Caribbean on a cruise.

George Town is perhaps the single most well-known location within the Caymans, located on Grand Cayman itself. This busy capital city is more than just a holiday destination, however. With more than 500 banks the Grand Cayman Island has become known world-wide for its affluent society, although the casinos and wild club venues have managed to stay far away. This may be a high-society area, but it still retains its colonial feel.

Cayman Brac is another popular destination with its maze of sea caves and plentiful offshore wrecks for tourists to dive to. Most people come to this island for the diving, while beach tourists prefer to stick to the main Grand Cayman and the area surrounding George Town.

The Cayman Islands are another British territory. As a result, you do not need a travel visa to come if you are a UK citizen or resident. Simply bring your passport and travel arrangements.

With the variety of wild-life and tropical settings, the Cayman Islands are a natural stopping point for anyone enjoying a Caribbean holiday or cruise. The accommodation is plentiful and travel is as simple as stepping out of the door of your lodging. With the perfect combination of luxury and beauty, it is no wonder the Cayman Islands have become one of the leading Caribbean hotspots over the years.
